Food brings people together on many different levels. It’s the nourishment of the soul and body. Share these with family and friends this Bank Holiday weekend. This recipe has been adapted from an Ottolenghi recipe.

  • 5 minutes prep
  • 15 minutes cooking
  • Cooling time

  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 100g walnuts
  • 100g almonds (skin on)
  • 100g cashews
  • 50g pumpkin seeds
  • 50g pistachios
  • 2tbs sunflower seeds
  • 2tbs nigella seeds
  • 1tbs honey
  • 3tbs olive oil
  • 1tsp salt

You could use macadamias and/or pecans as well or instead of any of these.

For after cooking:

  • 2tsp ground black pepper
  • 1tsp cayenne (add extra tsp if you like them ultra spicy)

  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl leaving out the pepper and cayenne.
  • Lay them on a baking tray and cook for 15-18 minutes at 170C
  • Leave to cool in the tray.
  • Store in an air-tight container.

Don’t leave them cooling too long or there’ll be none left to store!
