Many of you have been asking for this, as my previous recipe involved a juicer which you didn’t own. So here you go. This is the smoothie I have for breakfast every day when I’m at home. It sets me up for the day and keeps me going ‘til lunchtime. It’s delicious and super nutritious. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 5cm fresh ginger
  • 10cm cucumber
  • 10cm celery
  • A small handful of rocket leaves
  • A small handful of sprouting seeds (if you can get them)
  • 2 heaped dessertspoons pea protein powder
  • Half an avocado
  • Sometimes I add 2-3 tablespoons of Olive oil
  • Water – approx 200ml

I also add one of these if I have some

  • Fresh Mint
  • Fresh Coriander
  • Fresh Parsley
  • 3-4 tbs olive oil

Method

  • Juice the lemon and add to the goblet,
  • Add water
  • Now quarter and core the apple
  • Take the whole celery head and chop across all the stalks at once, chop into 2 x 1” cuts
  • Add 2” cucumber cut in quarters
  • Peel and finely chop the ginger
  • Add your rocket
  • Your seeds
  • Your protein powder
  • The half avocado
  • Olive oil if using

Once all the ingredients are in the goblet, you can liquidise and it is ready to serve. Add water if it’s too thick for you.
