Many of you have been asking for this, as my previous recipe involved a juicer which you didn’t own. So here you go. This is the smoothie I have for breakfast every day when I’m at home. It sets me up for the day and keeps me going ‘til lunchtime. It’s delicious and super nutritious. Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 lemon
- 5cm fresh ginger
- 10cm cucumber
- 10cm celery
- A small handful of rocket leaves
- A small handful of sprouting seeds (if you can get them)
- 2 heaped dessertspoons pea protein powder
- Half an avocado
- Sometimes I add 2-3 tablespoons of Olive oil
- Water – approx 200ml
I also add one of these if I have some
- Fresh Mint
- Fresh Coriander
- Fresh Parsley
- 3-4 tbs olive oil
Method
- Juice the lemon and add to the goblet,
- Add water
- Now quarter and core the apple
- Take the whole celery head and chop across all the stalks at once, chop into 2 x 1” cuts
- Add 2” cucumber cut in quarters
- Peel and finely chop the ginger
- Add your rocket
- Your seeds
- Your protein powder
- The half avocado
- Olive oil if using
Once all the ingredients are in the goblet, you can liquidise and it is ready to serve. Add water if it’s too thick for you.
